Yellowstone National ParkUnbelievable scenery... majestic wildlife... real cowboys... The spirit of the American West is alive and well in Wyoming – and ready to be discovered. With spectacular Yellowstone National Park, authentic dude ranches, frontier cities, and much more, Wyoming offers visitors some of nature’s most miraculous gifts – and some of America’s most colorful history. Whether your idea of a vacation is an action-packed outdoorsy adventure, a quiet wilderness exploration, or a Wild West experience, Wyoming has it all.

Yellowstone National ParkA highlight of any visit to Wyoming, of course, is Yellowstone National Park, where grizzly bears, wolves, bison, elk, trumpeter swans, and bald eagles live in a unique geologic landscape of rugged mountains, the world’s largest collection of geysers, 10,000 hot springs, bubbling mud pots, and the massive Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River – an eye-opening peek into Earth’s interior.

Yellowstone National Park is as much about sight doing as sight seeing. In good weather you can hike, bike, boat, fish, and take on just about every other outdoor activity imaginable; in winter you can cross-country ski, snowshoe, and go dog-sledding.

In its own way as stunning as Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park is another must visit – and another hiker’s mecca. Floating down the Snake River as it meanders through the mountains rising dramatically on both sides provides a true feast for the senses. Keep your eyes open for river otters, moose, and eagles.

Wyoming is also the perfect place to steep yourself in cowboy culture – past and present. Stay at a working dude ranch, ride horses, and be sure to visit the city of Cody, which has dubbed itself the rodeo capital of the world – you can see one every night from June through August. For everything you ever wanted to know about life on the frontier, visit the state-of-the-art Buffalo Bill Historical Center museums, a celebration of the culture, history, and art of the American West.

So pack up your binoculars and boots, and get ready to take a walk on the wild side. An exciting adventure in beautiful Wyoming awaits.
