Robin Tauck in ParisHappy New Year to all our Tauck guests,
staff and friends worldwide!

I wrote this on January 2nd from InterContinental Paris Le Grand Hotel, an icon of luxurious Parisian society since 1862 in the heart of the City of Light!

Here in Paris, and in Yosemite in December, 300 Tauck guests and dozens of staff “rang in 2015 and our 90th Year” at two extraordinary Tauck Events – The Tauck Yosemite Event and the first ever Tauck Paris Event. Our latest two in over 20 Events from Rome to London and New York to California, including our party Events – at the Rose Bowl, the Kentucky Derby, and Rio’s Carnaval.

As a granddaughter of Arthur Tauck Sr. who founded the US tour industry, I was honored to host both December 2014 Events. I wish my grandfather could be with us to see how far we have come. A highlight was seeing the passion, awe and sheer joy of our guests from around the world as they came together at spectacles in two of the world’s most treasured places – in exclusive private events rarely accessible to the public. Our keynote addresses and insider experiences took world history to a new level of fun and intrigue – history that shaped Europe and the United States. Contemporary couture and the latest discoveries caused the jaws of many to drop at several turns in the journeys. Ah, we truly rang in our 9th decade. Bravo!

“Insider Experiences” are the greatest joy we bring to others; it’s true to our roots and to our future vision. I must personally invite you on Tauck Events.

Yosemite’s 150th Anniversary and Insider Park Events

America’s most beloved 400 Parks will celebrate their Centennial in 2016! And leading up to it, our partners Ken Burns and Dayton Duncan have designed several travel experiences, including our popular Wonderland: Yellowstone in Winter and The Tauck Yosemite Event. At The Tauck Yosemite Event…
  • Renowned historian Dayton Duncan, author of “Seed of the Future: Yosemite and the Evolution of the National Park Idea,” relived the founding of Yosemite.
  • Michael Adams, son of Ansel Adams, delighted us on a snowy day with family stories and photos never seen, on one man’s discovery of the West… that truly changed history.
  • VIP seats at the legendary Bracebridge Dinner at The Ahwahnee® – since 1927 the most famous Christmas Dinner in the world. Medieval and wonderful.
  • Private tours in Yosemite and the gratitude of the Yosemite Conservancy, where we restored the Yosemite Cemetery – resting place of so many
    brave pioneers.

“After this Yosemite experience and Tauck’s Wonderland: Yellowstone in Winter, I vow to spend each December at one of our incredible national parks,” remarked Jennie Norman, Vice Chair of the Tauck Board of Directors. “It will be our new family tradition.”

The Tauck Paris Event – Celebrating New Year’s Eve 2014!

How fun to meet the most interesting guests who decided to ring in the New Year with a totally new experience…in the heart of Paris in winter. My father, Arthur Tauck Jr., launched “Yellow Roads of Europe” twenty-five years ago to show our guests a side of the Continent that few tourists would ever see. How proud he would be to see the experience we just had – at the InterContinental Paris Le Grand Hotel, a private dinner at the Musée d’Orsay and a private event at the incredible castle and gardens of Vaux-le-Vicomte. Our sincere thanks to our great partners and friends in France.
  • Private New Year’s Eve gala at the famous Salon Opera – first ballroom of France just renovated over a year by 300 artisans of the French Government; it’s a French national landmark! We danced the night away.
  • Our exclusive New Year's Day visit to Château Vaux-le-Vicomte, when everything in Paris was closed… Count Jean-Charles de Vogüé not only opened his home just for Tauck, but also greeted all of us personally and hosted our entire visit, including his magnificent 17th-century grounds designed by Le Nôtre, which were the model for generations of European gardens.
  • Private dinner at the Musée D’Orsay – only for Tauck! Stunning evening.
 Chateau Vaux-le-Vicomte

Most of all, we were treated as royalty in the home of the most prestigious hotel in France, with the gold of the Opera House and Café de la Paix at our doorstep. Laughter and joie de vivre brought a “congenial group of travelers” together – just as my grandfather first wrote on his first tour brochure in 1925.

three eventsPlease join us at The Tauck Jazz Event  or The Tauck New York City Event – both co-crafted by Ken Burns and featuring Ken – or The Tauck Vienna Event over New Year’s Eve 2015. In every way, our 90th year will be an event, and we hope to see all of you in some part of this incredible world of travel.

“Events are like a 12-carat diamond with multiple facets by Tauck – brilliant.”
– 12-time Tauck traveler
