    ms Savor

Maintaining Tauck’s high standards for quality and comfort, ms Savor cruises exclusively for Tauck on the Danube River as part of our Destination Fleet. With a maximum of 130 guests, the 443-foot riverboat and her sister ships continue our tradition of providing more space per guest on Europe’s inland waterways, transporting fewer passengers than most longships (135 meters). Her deck plan is innovative; with a total of 67 cabins, our most popular cabins tend to be our largest... so we have used the added ship length to offer twenty-two 300-square-foot Tauck Suites – the most of any river cruise ship on any European river. To increase the amount of natural sunlight on the lower deck, we’ve created 8 loft cabins that extend from the first to the second decks, providing guests with an additional view; all windows in these loft cabins open.

Grand Hotel Wien - Vienna, Austria

A truly majestic hotel with a truly grand history that is indelibly intertwined with all that is Vienna... the hub of Viennese social life since the late 19th century. Grand Hotel Wien is located along the historic Ringstrasse, Vienna's grand boulevard that is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2015 – just a few steps to the Vienna State Opera and Kaerntner Street. The hotel offers a living reminder of the majestic age of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, combining luxury five-star Vienna accommodation with unparalleled customer service for the very highest standards of hospitality. On May 10, 1870, Grand Hotel Wien was opened as the first "Grand Hotel" in Vienna, offering steam elevators and a telegraph office, which was a sensation at that time. More recently, the hotel's glittering past and shining future were fused together following a 100 million renovation in the 1990s. Althought boasting a long and rich history, Grand Hotel Wien is one of the most modern and luxurious hotels in Austria today. Expect an elegant, noble ambience, luxurious accommodations, high service standards and gourmet cuisine; you will feel extremely comfortable in the guest rooms, where classic music mixes with classic architecture. Rooms are spacious, designed in typical Viennese style. Exquisite fabrics, rare antiques, classic decoration and state-of-the-art technical equipment will make you feel thoroughly at home. Bathrooms are made of marble and offer a double washbasin; each room is equipped with antique furniture, beautiful fabrics, two telephones and a flatscreen TV. Grand Hotel Wien is home to several of Vienna's best restaurants and bars, and during your stay there is plenty to choose from to enjoy a unique and stylish dining or bar experience. With a spectacular view over the city of Vienna, the award-winning restaurant Le Ciel, located at the 7th floor, is known as one of Vienna’s best gourmet restaurants featuring French-orientated culinary art. Le Ciel restaurant is styled in warm traditional colours; the china and silver were all especially created for this legendary restaurant. Awarded with 2 toques by the famous gourmet guide 'Gault Millau', the team around Chef de Cuisine Jacqueline Pfeiffer, in charge since 2003, creates and serves menus of French orientated culinary art. The Grand Café is located on the 1st floor of the Grand Hotel Wien in Vienna, which allows a fine view down the Vienna Ringstrasse. Unkai means ‘sea of clouds’, hints at Unkai's location on the 7th floor of the Grand Hotel Wien. Guests enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine at the highest level, created by Chef Masahiro Yamada; Unkai-Sushi offers a high quality of sushi and sashimi in a very modern ambience and with quick service. The lobby coffee and tea lounge Rosengarten, located at the ground floor, is an established meeting place ‘par excellence’. Kavalierbar is the ‘rendezvous incontournable’ for both Grand Hotel Wien residents and local guests! Thanks to its location on the 1st floor of the Grand Hotel Wien, Kavalierbar offers a decadent view on the famous ‘Ringstrasse’. Vienna is famous for its outstanding coffee and world-famous pastries. The tradition of enjoying a cup of coffee at an old-fashioned coffee shop with a delicious piece of cake has a greater importance in Vienna than anywhere else in the world. The cake Vienna is most famous for is probably the Guglhupf – and the original Grand Guglhupf is only available at the Grand Hotel Wien since it is made according to the original secret recipe, made of the best ingredients – and only available at the Grand Hotel Wien. At Grand Spa No605, the design of the spa reflects the nearly 145-year history of the hotel. In addition to exposed masonry from the historic stately palace on Ringstrasse boulevard, details like Spanish mosaics make reference to the great tradition of spa bath culture in early 20th-century Vienna. The contemporary world is represented by high-quality materials, state-of-the-art technology in the saunas, steam baths, and heated bench, and an innovative LED concept hat pampers spa guests with more than thirty different light and color settings. The spa offers a sauna, a steam bath, a separate women's area with its own sauna, a relaxation zone, a cardio area with the latest equipment, and one of the most comprehensive ranges of beauty and massage treatments in Vienna.
